Ultra-Fluffy Samoyed Puppy Looks Exactly Like a 'Living Cloud'
A huge downside to working remotely is never having a chance office meeting with a cute dog. What a surprise it would be to go about my daily tasks, making calls and doing office things, and an adorably fluffy land cloud walks in. I can't even imagine how great that might be.
This is the exact scenario that played out in one office when an ultra-fluffy Samoyed puppy named Gnocci paid everyone a visit. As expected, lots of tears were shed during this happy-making moment, and now I'm thinking this is the place to be!
@gnocci.the.bearThe tears were valid #puppy #samoyed #cute #crying #reaction
♬ original sound - Gnocci the BearTo be graced by Gnocci's presence while doing your normal job would feel like some kind of blessing from the universe. The woman crying the happy tears would be me a million times over, and I wouldn't be sorry one bit! This scene never once crossed my mind (probably because it's been so long since I've worked an in-person job), but now I'm envious (and a little sad about my life choices)!
As "the floofiest floof that ever floofed," Gnocci lives up to all the best traits of a Samoyed, but I'd be remiss not to give extra credit to how much cloud-like fur this little guy has. He's like a lamb! A hug from him would definitely cure any illness, blues, or stress, so I'll take one, please and thank you!

After the video went viral, many people took to the comments to ask if the place is hiring, but it's one comment Mom made that's even better. Gnocci is training to be a therapy dog, which means he could show up in lots of places to give even more hugs to anyone in need. I'm thinking I need to move to wherever he lives, just in case we cross paths!
At just 9 weeks old, the precious Samoyed puppy is a pro at stealing hearts with his good looks alone, but his personality is even sweeter.

These cuties and their bright, beaming grins are sure to win anyone over, but it's their gentle, sweet, and affectionate nature that will turn anyone into an instant Samoyed fanatic, me included.
Next time Gnocci shows up in an office somewhere, someone give him an extra hug from me!

'Unwanted' Street Dog Becomes 'Most Wanted Girl in the World' and It's the Best
Niall Harbison has quite a following on social media thanks to the amazing work he does saving and rehabilitating street dogs through his Thailand animal rescue, Happy Doggo. He posts the stories of these precious animals and the amazing challenges they often overcome. Sometimes, Harbison shares the best news of all — a dog getting their forever home.
Dolly is a sweet, small brown dog that was in poor condition when Harbison rescued her. After staying at the Happy Doggo sanctuary and getting the love and medical care she needed, she's finally getting her happy ending.
View this post on InstagramThe Instagram video from @wearehappydoggo shared Dolly's story and showed how vulnerable she was at the time of her rescue.
"They said she was too old to be loved," the onscreen text read as Dolly quietly sat in a basket after her rescue. "Two months ago, she was found sick, fragile, and abandoned on the streets. We thought a 'happy ever after' was impossible."
Clips of Dolly shortly after arriving at Happy Doggo revealed her weak condition. Yet through all of her pain and trauma, the precious pooch had the kindest demeanor and loved getting affection.
Dolly Has a New HomeThis canine cutie is now getting the storybook ending she deserves. Harbison revealed that Dolly "found her person" and will be heading to her forever family.
"It’s hard to believe this is the same dog we found shaking on the street a few months ago," the caption noted, with highlights of Dolly being cuddled and trotting through grass with a spring in her step. "Dolly was dumped because she was old and 'unwanted', but today, she is the most wanted girl in the world."
The fur baby won't be going too far since her new mom will be living in Thailand.
"She caught the eyes of a lovely lady who is moving to Thailand soon, and that’s where she will have her happy ever after," the story continued, sharing that Dolly is already "officially adopted".
Dolly showed pure love and gentleness throughout her entire ordeal, and was beloved by everyone at Happy Doggo.
"Proof that it's never too late for a second chance," the video concluded.

Owl Sets up Shop in Lowe's and Dives at Customers Like He Owns the Joint
When you head to the store to pick up supplies to make some home repairs, you expect to see lumber, garden tools, and hardware. What you probably don't anticipate is getting dive-bombed by an owl.
But one Lowe's is trying to protect both customers and an owl by putting up a warning sign that should (hopefully) keep everyone safe. Take a look at this video uploaded to TikTok, and tell us whether you'd keep shopping or leave your project for a later date!
@diyjennaGenuinely what do you do in this situation? #owls #owlsoftiktok
♬ Messy - Funny Songs"I walked right past this sign today, and the Lowe's worker had to warn me," the caption states.
And what does the sign say? "Owl in area. Be aware."
"He's been diving down on customers," the caption continues. "Genuinely, what do you do in this situation?"
Well, viewers had strong responses to that question.

"I love that they just put a sign up and let 'em stay 💕," said another.
"I work for Lowe’s garden center, and I will do everything I can to protect any bird and their babies," another person stated.
Aw, we love that, and so does this viewer, who wrote, "Lowe's employees doing the right thing. Kudos to them for looking out for wildlife."
Still, this owl is looking pretty serious!
"The direct eye contact with the camera 😂," another viewer noted.

I definitely think this owl is giving "Go home! Store's closed!" vibes.
Of course, others are envious of getting a glimpse of this beautiful creature while running an otherwise dull errand.
"I'm so jealous my Lowe's doesn't have an owl family 😫," someone commented.
Now, I have to be honest, I've had a lifelong fear of birds. I don't wish them any ill will, but it's that dive-bombing that makes me twitchy. So, even as much as I can admire those gorgeous eyes and unique markings, if I saw that sign, I'd run to my car. Sorry, owl, I still respect your right to be there!
What Makes an Owl Swoop? Some viewers suggested that this owl may be a mama protecting her young. That makes sense. Owls swoop or "dive-bomb" when they perceive a threat or want to protect their territory. They'll use their sharp talons, too, if necessary. Nesting season usually happens from January through March, so it stands to reason that there may be some little owls living at Lowe's as well.
We wish the growing family the best and hope customers take that sign seriously! Nobody wants to leave with some new tools, shrubs, and serious scratches from an angry owl!
Apricot and Gray Maine Coon Kittens Form the Sweetest Reverse-Colored Cuddle Puddle
There is something about kittens that already feels soft and calming, but when you get two of them together, everything somehow gets even quieter and sweeter. Especially when they decide the best possible place to be is curled up right next to each other.
That’s exactly what’s happening here with two Maine Coon kittens who look like they were designed to match. One is a soft apricot with bright blue eyes, the other is a gentle gray with touches of apricot, and together, they form what can only be described as a perfectly coordinated cuddle puddle. This entire clip is reminding me ever so sternly that I don't need any more pets.

♬ i think i'm addicted - oskar med k & Haley JoelleTikToker @moonsmainecoons shared the clip with the caption, “The best resting place,” and honestly, that feels like an understatement. These two are tucked into a faux fur cat bed, completely relaxed, completely content, and very clearly convinced that this is the correct way to spend the day.

They shift slightly, press closer, and settle in again, as if they’re syncing up. It’s not just cute; it’s the kind of quiet moment that makes you stop scrolling for a second and just watch.
And there’s something extra special about the way their coloring mirrors each other. The apricot kitten stands out with that warm tone and those bright eyes, while the gray kitten softens everything with those subtle apricot accents. It’s like they were meant to be a pair.
Also, I’m just saying, my own huge Maine Coon would try to insert himself directly into the middle of this situation like he belongs there.
Do Kittens Do Better When Raised in Pairs? An orange and a gray Maine Coon kitten playing.Image Via: Eric Isselee/Shutterstock
Maine Coon kittens, like most young cats, often benefit from being raised with another kitten.
Having a companion helps them learn important social skills, like how to play gently, read cues, and burn off all that extra energy in a healthy way. It can also reduce boredom and help prevent behavioral issues that sometimes come from being alone too often.
Kittens raised in pairs tend to keep each other entertained, groom each other, and as seen here, sleep together in the coziest possible ways. That kind of bonding can lead to more confident, well-adjusted adult cats.
Kittens spend a huge portion of their day sleeping, often up to 16 hours or more, and they naturally seek out warmth and closeness when they do. Which is why cuddle puddles like this aren’t just adorable; they’re completely instinctive.
And honestly, once you see something this soft and perfectly matched, it’s hard not to think two kittens might just be better than one.

Parrot With 'Flair for the Dramatic' Has the Most Glorious Pronunciation of 'Wings'
One of the best things to ever exist is a place for all the adorable pets to get their 15 minutes to shine. The internet isn't always a fun place to hang out, but if you stick to this little pocket of content creation, you can't lose.
Gideon is a prime example of how to use social media the right way. This smart, funny Parrot isn't only stunning with his vibrant jungle colors, but once you listen to him practicing his new song—and some seriously cute new pronunciations of words—you'll be cheering for more!

Though Gideon is just one member of a large "flock" family (nine, to be exact!), he's a fan favorite with nearly 727k TikTok followers hanging onto his every new word, phrase, or unbridled passion, calling out his nicknames. This is why the internet was invented!

Litter of Irish Wolfhound Puppies Moves Like a Pack of Tiny Land Sharks
One of the biggest joys in the world is playing with a litter of puppies. Seeing all their energy and tiny paws with tails that quickly wag from side to side is 100% pure bliss. But all those puppies also come with a level of chaos that is a little reminiscent of something else.
This video shows exactly how chaotic a litter of puppies can be, and how all the little pups swarming around give off the same energy as land sharks.
@hiddenhollow02land sharks!!! #irishwolfhound #irishwolfhoundsofinstagram #hiddenhollowwolfhounds #bigpuppies #landsharks

She's standing on the grass as all the little pups swirl around her, and it's so funny because it looks like she's standing in the water, and the little puppies and their gray coats look like they could be sharks.
The puppies, being puppies, get a little rowdier around her ankles, and seeing the gray swirling around her, she joked in the caption that these Irish Wolfhound puppies are "land sharks."

Another shared, "Oh my god, I would give up land titles to own an Irish Wolfhound."
Someone else added, "Oh, gracious, my dream dog. Hope to have my dream come true soon!"
Other comments included, "Quite the pile of chaos you have accumulated," "It’s so beautiful. I wish I could have one," "They're so cute," "Vicious and adorable," and "Velociraptors."

Irish Wolfhounds Look More Intimidating Than They AreAccording to the American Kennel Club, Irish Wolfhounds, which are part of the hound group, are considered "dignified, courageous, and calm," which is funny because calm isn't a word many would use with puppies, especially not these "land sharks." But as they grow, their personalities mellow, and Irish Wolfhounds are very lovey-dovey, good with other dogs, and pretty OK with young children.
The club explains that Irish Wolfhounds look intimidating because of their size, but they're not great guard dogs because they're pretty calm and chill. These pups are "serene and agreeable" and can run really fast.
So if you have your very own land puppy, soak up all their silliness because they'll be fully grown before you know it.
Brave Dog Won’t Leave His Spot in a Quarry for a Reason You Don’t Expect
There are moments when a dog has every reason to run. This was one of them.
Something had gone wrong near a quarry. The kind of situation where noise, confusion and fear take over fast. But in the middle of it, one detail stood out: the loyalty of man's best friend.
According to a news segment on 6abc Action News, a dog and his parent were stuck about 60 feet down a steep embankment in Blandon, Pennsylvania.
Despite the life-threatening situation, the dog remained safely by his dad's side until firefighters came and rescued them both.
The Rescue MissionWhen firefighters from Blandon arrived at the scene, they found the pair trapped at the bottom of steep terrain. The rescue was a technical and logistical nightmare, requiring ropes and specialized equipment to navigate the quarry walls.
Throughout the entire process, the dog’s loyalty never wavered. He stayed pressed against his owner, providing warmth and a sense of calm that is often the difference between life and death in survival scenarios.

The Instinct That Doesn’t Switch OffDogs read situations faster than we think. They pick up on tone, movement, even tension in the air.
And when something feels off, most will react immediately.
But loyalty changes that equation.
Instead of retreating, this dog stayed close. Close enough to be part of the danger. Close enough that leaving wasn’t even considered.
What Loyalty Looks LikeMost pet parents have seen this situation at a smaller scope at home. Your dog follows you from one room to another. They wait outside the bathroom door, or sit nearby when you are not feeling well.
Now, imagine that instinct in a high-stress moment. This dog didn’t have training to remain close. He just made a decision to stay.
The Bond That Doesn’t BreakThis story serves as a great reminder of the bond we share with our pets.
We provide them with food and shelter, but in our darkest moments, in this case, at the bottom of a steep quarry, they provide the one thing technology cannot: unwavering presence.
The man who fell will recover, but the image of his dog standing right next to him will stay forever.
The dog made a decision to stay when leaving would have been easier.
It’s a quiet kind of bravery. The kind that doesn’t make much fanfare. And if you’ve ever had a dog stay close when you needed it most, you already understand it.

Rescue Pit Bull Who Was Too Afraid to Bark Is Now Singing Nonstop and It's the Sweetest
Rescue dogs often have trauma and abuse in their past, causing them to be fearful and hesitant to trust. Typical everyday actions or activities, like playing or going for walks, can seem daunting to these canines since they have never experienced any sense of normalcy. They need time, patience, and a lot of love to feel safe and let their guard down.
Petey the Pit Bull was too scared to bark while living in a shelter and took a while to use his voice when he was adopted into his forever home. Now he has no problem expressing himself and it's music to his mom's ears.

"A bark collar was used on Petey in the shelter before I adopted him, and he learned to stay quiet to stay safe," the caption explained, with the onscreen text adding, "His voice was punished, so he stopped using it."
That anxiety remained even after Petey was brought to his forever home, but soon he began to trust his mom. Now the precious pooch speaks up everywhere he goes, and it sounds magically melodious.
"For months after I adopted him, he was silent," the story continued. "But then, he started to feel safe, and now it all comes out — everything he used to hold inside, everything they made him keep in, everything he never got to say."

There are so many reasons to welcome a new cat into your home. But whether you’re looking for a new furry family member or someone to scare away mice, it’s always nice to have a pet with personality. That's why funny cat breeds make great companions. Silly felines aren't just cute, but cat breeds with a fun personality bring a sense of entertainment to the table as well. While every cat is an individual, making it possible to get a goofy cat no matter the breed, there are certain cats celebrated for their fun-loving behavior more than others. Read on to learn about 7 funny cat breeds known for their silly, comedian-like personalities, according to vets.
“One common denominator among these playful cat breeds is that they are social and interactive,” says Aimee Warner, DVM, resident veterinarian at Waggel. “They can make their presence felt and be part of what their owners are doing.”
Sure, these furry pets aren’t going to sit around cracking jokes, but they’re known for loving play-time with their humans, amusing expressions and may even whip out some silly tricks to try to get a reaction out of you. So, if you’re looking for a quiet wallflower cat, these aren’t the breeds for you. But if you’re interested in a furbaby you can clown around with, consider one of these cat breeds with playful and funny traits.

Cat Breeds Known for Their Funny and Silly PersonalitiesMany cat breeds are known for their funny and silly personalities, often surprising owners with playful behavior, quirky habits, and unexpected bursts of energy. According to veterinarians, these traits can vary widely between breeds, making some cats naturally more entertaining and expressive than others. Check them out:

The Devon Rex is known for its mischievous personality, making this funny cat breed comical to be around. If you have one, just know they are highly people-oriented and love being the center of attention. “You may hear a Devon Rex called a ‘Velcro cat,’’ says Chyrle Bonk, DVM, a veterinarian at Embrace Pet Insurance. “It’s because they like to stick close to their people and will seek out a warm lap or even perch on a shoulder instead of sit by themselves.”
This entertaining cat breed is “incredibly intelligent and playful,” which is great for teaching them new tricks, Bonk notes. “Their energy and intelligence can get them in trouble if they aren’t given the proper outlet, however, as they will try to explore even the ‘off-limits’ parts of your home,” Bonk says. Still, these silly cats like to stick near their owners—even perching on people's shoulders at times.
Breed Stats- Personality: Smart, active, mischievous
- Weight: 5-9 pounds
- Lifespan: 14–17 years
Another silly cat breed to consider is the hairless Sphynx! They are not only amusing and comical cats, but incredibly intelligent and love being in the spotlight. “Sphynx cats are often one of the first cats that people think of when they think of big and playful personalities,” Warner says. “They are also known for being extremely outgoing, loving attention and being very affectionate.”
But even though they are goofy cat breeds with hilarious personalities, these felines are loyal to their owners. “They are often described as cats who act like dogs because they love to follow their owners around the house, greet them at the door and interact with them,” Warner says. How funny is that? Sphynx cats will even act like birds, as they will sit on your shoulders like a parrot, making for a fun party trick.
Breed Stats- Personality: Loyal, affectionate
- Weight: 6-12 pounds
- Lifespan: 7–15 years
Abyssinians have energy for days, loving to play and enjoy joking around with their people. “These funny cats prefer human company over being alone and will often follow their people from room to room,” Bonk says.
Just don’t expect this playful cat breed to be big on cuddling—they have too much energy for that. “Instead, they prefer to play games, climb and explore,” Bonk says.
Unlike many cats, Abyssinians also love the water, which can lead to some LOL-worthy moments for pet parents. “They may try to join you in the shower or bath,” Bonk says. But, like other silly and high-energy cats, Abyssinians need to have an outlet. “If you don’t keep these cats busy, they will find their own entertainment, which could land them in trouble,” Bonk says.
Breed Stats- Personality: Devoted, athletic, alert
- Weight: 6-12 pounds
- Lifespan: 14-17 years

Munchkin A Munchkin cat being mischievous.According to vets, Munchkin cats are the Dachshund of the cat world. This breed has short legs that give it a kitten-like appearance and their personality matches that, too. “These cats love to play and play for life,” Bonk says. “With their outgoing nature, they will enlist any playmate they can find.”
Munchkins tend to be talkative as well and can get into silly antics when the mood strikes. “These fun-loving cats will also steal objects and hide them for themselves,” Bonk says. “You may also see a Munchkin sitting up on their hindlegs to get a better view, which can be a funny sight to see."
If you want to get your cat's attention, remember that Munchkins are motivated by food. This can come in handy if you want to teach them funny tricks or get them to come to you.
Breed Stats- Personality: Playful, cuddly
- Weight: 5-10 pounds
- Lifespan: 15-18+ years
The Cornish Rex is a funny cat breeds with a playful and silly personality that thrives in the spotlight with a strong zest for life. This breed is especially known for its attention-loving, social temperament and highly interactive behavior. You can expect the Devon Rex to be in the mix all the time, no matter what’s going on in your household.
“Cornish Rex cats are full of energy and quick,” Warner says. “They love running around the house and being around people.” Warner also highlights this breed’s intelligence, noting that you can teach the Cornish Rex a variety of tricks, which adds to its reputation as one of the most entertaining and amusing cat breeds. Another plus? They also maintains their kitten-like behavior throughout adulthood, meaning these felines will always consistently be playful and have quirky personalities.
Breed Stats- Personality: Social, intelligent, active
- Weight: Unspecified
- Lifespan: 9-13+ years
The Balinese is a funny cat breed known for its playful and expressive personality, essentially a long-coated Siamese with an equally social nature. Balinese cats are very social and love to “talk” with the people around them, making them a standout among cat breeds with vocal and engaging temperaments. Warner calls this breed “graceful and very expressive.”
This breed loves interactive, silly play, too. “They enjoy puzzles and being around the family,” Warner says. But Balinese aren’t just about having a good time. You can expect this goofy cat breed to want to cuddle up and even follow you around when you're home.
Breed Stats- Personality: Social, talkative
- Weight: 5-12 pounds
- Lifespan: 10–20+ years
The Bengal looks like a mini wildcat, and that’s by design. They’re a hybrid of the Asian Leopard Cat and domestic cats. But while this cat looks cool, it’s all about having a good time—on land and water. Like the Abyssinian, these cats with funny personalities enjoy water and will even swim.
They are also smart, curious and spirited, loving a solid play time session with their owners. They’re also extroverts, making a Bengal a great breed to have if you have regular guests in your home. But these felines aren't just about being silly or having a good time, Warner says this breed is a devoted companion as well.
Breed Stats- Personality: Inquisitive, spirited, loving

7 Words That Instantly Calm Your Dog
Whether you consider your dog a lovable dope or the smartest pet on Earth, you may wonder if they know what you're saying. It turns out, dogs can understand some words. That's why when your furry companion is feeling stressed, over excited or anxious, you can help tone down their emotions by saying certain terms and phrases. So, what words can calm down a dog? There are actually several that pet experts say work. Below you'll learn 7 words that can instantly calm down a dog, according to a trainer.
That way, when you need to figure out how to help your dog relax, you'll know what you can say to support your dog’s emotional regulation and help regulate your dog’s stress response. However, because a dog's brain works different than a person's does and they communicate differently, just saying certain phrases and words won't work unless they are paired with associative learning. What does that mean? "This means that dogs will link specific words, tones and gestures to actions or objects," explains Shannon Kenny, CPDT-KA, a professional dog trainer at Woofz, a puppy and dog training app. "Dogs are extremely proficient in pattern recognition." Because of that, it's possible that some words can sooth your dog if your pet associates the term with a Zen vibe.
Keep reading to discover words that promote relaxation if they're paired with consistent associations and specific tones and body language. Trust us, you'll want to memorize all of these.

7 Words That Can Instantly Calm Your Dog, According to a Trainer A Boston Terrier hearing calming words.Try saying these words to instantly calm your dog down in soft, gentle tones, helping regulate your pet's nervous system. Use them consistently in calm situations first so your dog associates the words with safety and positive outcomes, then gradually apply them during mildly stressful moments to reinforce that response. Pairing the words with relaxed body language and slow movements can further enhance their effect, making it easier for your dog to settle and refocus.
1. Saying their nameUsing your dog’s name can be an effective way to quickly regain their attention and help interrupt rising stress or overstimulation. Kenny says dogs usually know their name very well. That's why saying their name out loud can actually have a soothing effect on your pup.
"When consistently paired with positive consequences, it can be a great tool to get their attention," Kenny explains. "If you can quickly redirect your dog’s focus to you, it’s much more likely that you’ll be able to interrupt any escalating behavior and provide them with an easier or more calming activity."
2. Saying the name of a placeAnother dog training tip when it comes to helping your dog relax is to say the name of a place they can go. Kenny says this cue teaches dogs to go to their bed or mat, lie down and stay put. "This is an excellent behavior to help your dog calm down," Kenny says. "It can give your dog a clear job to do instead of choosing a behavior that you may not like."
Pro tip: Start teaching this and using this cue when the stakes are way lower than high-tailing it out the door. "If it’s practiced in calm situations first, it’s more likely to remind your dog that they can be calm in a 'real-life' situation, too," Kenny notes.
3. Mentioning "walk"If you need an idea to help with dog anxiety relief that can encourage you dog to calm down, try saying "walk" as it can help shift their behavior. In fact, this calming word can act as a powerful reset cue for dogs, helping redirect their focus and support natural dog anxiety relief through movement and stimulation.
"The actual walk can be great physical and mental exercise," Kenny reports. "Moving, sniffing and exploring can be regulating for a dog, and it can provide an outlet for excess energy."
4. Telling them to "find it"Learning how to calm a dog down can be confusing as a pet parent at times. Though sometimes simple games can be a great trick when your pup is over excited or feeling anxious or super excited about something.
"'Saying 'find it' is a simple cue to your dog that you’re going to toss food onto the ground," Kenny says. "It’s a type of pattern game, which has been shown to create predictability for dogs and lower their arousal level. It encourages sniffing and can help to interrupt and redirect stress or overexcitement."
Related: 7 Words That Make Dogs Feel Unsafe, According to a Trainer
5. Telling them to "sit"Kenny states that saying "sit" is another word that helps dogs feel less anxious. "If it’s easy for your dog to do, it can be a great way to redirect their attention or pause their movement for a short period of time," she explains. "It also gives your dog a clear task to do that can earn a reward."
This type of cue is often used in positive reinforcement training, not necessarily to instantly relax a dog, but to interrupt escalating behavior and encourage focus.
Important caveat: A sitting dog isn't always a calm one. "Humans can do this as well," Kenny explains. "If you were extremely nervous about an important job interview and sitting on the bus to get there, would you look outwardly panicked? Probably not. But that doesn’t mean you aren’t still feeling it. Watch your dog’s body language to make sure it actually helps them when you cue it."
6. Saying "crate"You may be surprised to see "crate" listed as one of the words that will encourage your dog to calm down. But remember: Crates are most beneficial when they're not used for punishment but rather as a safe space. When used in this way, hearing the word "crate" is a cue to a pet that they have permission to take a break.
"If your dog likes their crate, it usually means that they view it as a 'safe zone' and a comfortable space to rest," Kenny explains. "It can be helpful to have a cue that asks your dog to go to their quiet space. They may be more likely to disengage from a situation and settle this way."
7. Saying "good boy/girl"Calm verbal praise like “good boy” or “good girl” can be one of the simplest and most effective ways to help calm your dog down in stressful situations. "If it’s consistently said in a soft tone and paired with reinforcers like attention and touch, then it’s probably a great tool to help your dog relax," Kenny explains. "It can be helpful to give off the energy that you’re trying to see in your dog."
This simple dog training command is often used as part of positive reinforcement training to help with how to calm an anxious dog in stressful situations. "Most people will start petting their dog at a fast pace, shifting around to see if the vet is coming or talking to their dog quickly," Kenny points out. "All of these behaviors will only increase your dog’s stress! If you’re aware of what your body language is saying, you can be sure that your dog reads the right message."

Zoo Atlanta’s Newest Resident Is a Rare Wild Cat You Have to See
Georgia residents have some exciting news this week, as Zoo Atlanta welcomes a unique wild cat that already has fans talking. Coming all the way from the Nashville Zoo at Grassmere, the new resident, Boon, arrived in Atlanta on Tuesday to a warm welcome after her brief journey.
Boon’s arrival marks a new addition to Zoo Atlanta’s animal lineup, and while she is still settling in behind the scenes, she is already generating plenty of interest from fans online following the news.

Meet Boon, Zoo Atlanta’s New Clouded Leopard View this post on InstagramBoon, an 8-year-old female clouded leopard, made the transition to her new home in Atlanta on the recommendation of the Association of Zoos and Aquariums’ Species Survival Plan. As it turns out, Boon’s species has been classified as “vulnerable,” prompting conservation efforts across the globe.
While Boon’s name might suggest a larger big cat, clouded leopards aren’t actually true leopards. Instead, they’re best thought of as mid-sized wild cats that belong to their own genus, Neofelis. Fun fact: the clouded leopard has the longest tail in relation to body size of any wild cat and even has rotating ankle joints that allow them to descend trees headfirst. Cool, right?
"Boon requires a boop on the nose immediately,' one person wrote in a post about her arrival shared by @gafollowersnews. "Boon is so cute," a second added, while a third commented, "Those eyes though..."
Native to forests in Asia, including the Himalayan foothills, clouded leopards are most at risk from deforestation, poaching and the illegal wildlife trade. These issues have damaged large areas of their habitat, making it harder for populations to thrive and reducing their range across parts of Southeast Asia.
"As an ambassador for a beautiful species with memorable adaptations, Boon will be a welcome and wonderful addition to the cat species found at Zoo Atlanta," said Gina Ferrie, PhD, Vice President of Collections and Conservation. "Her species also represents a conservation effort our members and guests are helping to support each time they visit."

How New Animals Adjust to Life at a ZooWhen a new animal arrives at a zoo, there’s always a routine adjustment period before going on display, like what Boon is going through right now. This helps them slowly get used to their new surroundings at their own pace, including their space and the people caring for them.
Like people, some animals get comfortable fairly quickly, while others need a little extra time to fully feel at home in a new environment. Adjusting to a new space is always hard, and pros like the keepers at Zoo Atlanta do everything they can to make that transition as smooth and familiar as possible.
How to See BoonSince she just arrived, Boon is going through a routine quarantine period before eventually making her public debut at the zoo. That said, if you want to catch a glimpse of her now, you’ll have to wait. Once she’s had a chance to explore her new home and become comfortable with her surroundings, she’ll be ready to venture out into the public eye at Zoo Atlanta’s Complex Carnivores area.

Golden Retriever Puppy Left Alone for 15 Minutes Manages To Flood the Entire House
Fifteen minutes.
That is all it took.
Not a weekend.
Not a full workday.
Not even one aggressively long Target run.
Just 15 minutes.
And somehow Charlie, a Golden Retriever puppy with the face of an angel and the decision-making skills of a tiny drunk contractor, managed to turn on the bath and flood the whole house.
@charliethegoldenpuppy3when my dog proceeded to turn on the bath and flood the house #goldenretriever #goldenretrieverlife #goldenretrieverofhouston
♬ Oh No (Instrumental) - KreepaThe video starts with Charlie sitting in the bathtub, looking, quite frankly, very pleased with herself. The caption reads, “I left my dog alone for 15 minutes...” which is already the kind of sentence that makes every dog owner’s stomach drop a little. Then come the photos of the destruction, and wow. This was not a minor oops. This was a full indoor water feature installation nobody asked for.
The post caption says, “When my dog proceeded to turn on the bath and flood the house,” and honestly, that sentence deserves to live in the Dog Hall of Fame. Because what do you even say after that? Charlie did not chew a shoe. She did not drag a pillow around. She did not shred one decorative item and call it a day. She went full-on home-renovation chaos and said, actually, let’s do plumbing.
That is what makes this so funny. It is such an absurd level of puppy mischief that it almost stops feeling real. You can picture the exact moment the human came home, saw the scene, and briefly left their body. Meanwhile, the Golden was probably sitting there like, yes, I really improved the place. You’re welcome.
One comment says, “If you ask Charlie, she would say it was the best day ever!” and that feels painfully accurate. Another says, “Well, I officially have a new fear 😅” which is also fair, because same. This is not a common dog-parent concern you naturally plan for. Most people are not out here puppy-proofing against unauthorized bath operation.
Thank goodness my dog Lola is not tall enough for this kind of shenanigan, because if she had both the reach and the confidence, I genuinely do not know what kind of domestic crimes she would attempt.
This clip works because it has the perfect mix of adorable culprit, unbelievable damage, and the deeply humbling reminder that puppies are essentially fuzzy little chaos engines with no respect for property law.
Charlie may be cute.
But Charlie is also a cautionary tale with paws.
Puppy-Proofing Has To Account for Weird Ideas, TooCharlie’s flood disaster is hilarious in hindsight, but it's also a good reminder that puppies can get into things you would never think to worry about until it's too late. Doors, handles, cords, bathroom access, and anything that can be bumped, chewed, switched on, or climbed into is worth thinking through when a curious young dog is in the house. Humane World for Animals recommends managing the environment as much as training the dog, which means blocking off tempting spaces, supervising closely, and setting puppies up so they cannot rehearse bad ideas.
Charlie did not get left alone for 15 minutes; she got handed a blank check and a plumbing license.

'Velcro' Scottish Fold Tells Mom She Had Kittens in Adorable Video
People always talk about what it's like living with a Velcro dog, but rarely a clingy cat. They may be known for their defiant independence, but that's not always true. My Ragdoll cat, Milo, is basically a human toddler covered in fur (and he will get all up in your personal space as much as possible), so I can't imagine what he'd be like if he had kittens to show off.
Luckily, I found one other kitty on the web like Milo, a Scottish Fold named Ellie. And because she's also a Velcro kitty, she has to guide Mom to see her new babies.

♬ original sound - ELLIESeeing Ellie's reaction when Mom stalls is 100% what Milo would do! As a proud, new mom to the most adorable little babies, she can't wait for her favorite human to go see them each morning.
Born on February 26, 2026, Snowball, Omelette, Sugar Girl, and Moose are the newest additions to the Scottish Fold crew, and they couldn't be any sweeter. You'd think becoming a new mom to kittens would keep Ellie busy enough that she wouldn't NEED Mom—wrong! She needs her more than ever, and I think that's what being a parent (of any kind) is all about.

While Ellie comes to grips with her neediness, let's get a closer look at the little ones because everything is better with kittens. Here they are, a few days after birth, when they looked like tiny loaves of bread.

♬ original sound - ELLIE Scottish Fold Cats *Can* Be ClingyTo be fair, it's not Ellie's fault she's a Velcro baby because Scottish Folds are sort of known for it! It's all because these felines are sweet, affectionate, and loyal, following their parents from room to room for more attention. They just really like being with their people!
While they're not considered overly demanding in an aggravating way, these cats enjoy sharing the same space as those they love most, as opposed to cuddling up on a lap or being held. Ellie must really love and trust her mom to want to show off her babies so often.
It's actually a huge compliment if you think about it. I'll have to remind myself that the next time Milo's in my face!

Australian Shepherd Puppy Turns His Playpen Into a Giant Hamster Wheel
If you’ve ever set up a playpen for a puppy and thought, "Perfect, this will contain the chaos," this video is going to gently challenge that belief. Because technically, yes, the puppy is contained… but that doesn’t mean the situation is under control.
Some puppies accept boundaries. Others get creative. And this little merle Australian Shepherd, named Murph, clearly falls into the second category.
@murphthemerleGuess we should call him Rocky now! The playpen was supposed to contain him…he had other plans 🐶 🐾 #puppy #puppylife #australianshepherd #australianshepherdpuppy #puppiesoftiktok
♬ Sirtaki - LucasGitanoFamilyShared by TikTok user @murphthemerle, the clip's caption says, “Guess we should call him Rocky now! The playpen was supposed to contain him… he had other plans,” and that's exactly what unfolds. Instead of staying still inside the mesh playpen, Murph starts walking... and the entire thing moves with him, turning it into what looks like a giant hamster wheel.
It’s equal parts genius and chaos. Less “contained puppy” and more “engineering breakthrough.”

If you’ve seen Project Hail Mary, you already know why the name Rocky fits. The rolling, the determination, the full commitment to movement—it’s all there. And yes, those in the comments absolutely picked up on it, with multiple people dropping the iconic, “Amaze! Amaze! Amaze!”
@the_bromanticAMAZE #projecthailmary #rocky #ryangosling #CapCut
♬ original sound - the_bromanticOthers leaned into the visual. “That’s a really big hamster,” one person wrote, which is hard to argue with once you’ve seen it in motion.
“I mean… he’s still IN the playpen,” someone pointed out, followed by, “Technically, he hasn’t broken any rules,” which is honestly the strongest defense Murph has. Because they’re right. There was nothing in the instructions that said he couldn’t move it.
“Not letting the playpen define him,” might be the most inspirational take of the group, while, “I mean, it’s called a PLAYpen. He’s clearly following the rules,” really seals it. This is not disobedience. This is interpretation.
“Technically, he’s still in it. There was nothing saying he couldn’t move it,” is the kind of logic that would absolutely hold up in court.

♬ original sound - Taylor Cezanne 🐶Crate or playpen training can be incredibly helpful for puppies, especially during those early, high-energy stages when they’re still learning boundaries.
Using a crate or playpen provides a safe, controlled environment where puppies can relax, sleep, and stay out of trouble when they can’t be directly supervised. It also helps with house training, since dogs naturally avoid soiling their sleeping areas.
Over time, a crate can become a comfort space, somewhere a puppy chooses to go when they need rest or a break from stimulation. The key is making it a positive experience with treats, toys, and a calm environment.
Consistency matters, too. Short, positive sessions help puppies adjust without feeling stressed, and then they gradually build up their comfort level.
And while most puppies won’t turn their playpen into a fully mobile structure, moments like this are a good reminder that training tools work best when paired with supervision… especially when you’re dealing with a very smart, very determined pup like this Australian Shepherd.

Dachshund Gets a Teeny-Tiny Arm Cast and It's Pure Cuteness Overload
It is always upsetting when our pet gets injured.
Even if it's not a bad injury, it is still scary and can be quite stressful (not to mention expensive).
The one consolation is that sometimes pets become even more adorable when they are injured (though we would never wish it on any of them!).
Case in point, with Lady, the Dachshund. She recently hurt her nail and had to get a teeny-tiny, adorable cast on one of her front legs, and it is just so cute!
@abbybaffoePoor baby cracked her nail while playing outside 😭😭❤️🩹❤️🩹 can’t stand how cute it is, the little cows?! 🐮😩

Then she shows her carrying little Lady in a sling bag with her adorable purple cast and then sleeping on her mom.
Lady looks like the vet may have also given her some painkillers that made her super sleepy.
Of course, the comment section was on point, wanting to know what happened to Lady, but also agreeing that she looked too cute with her cast.
One person wrote about the cast, "Could it be any smaller? Can she be any cuter?? LADY!!"
And another just sent a note of support, "Flowers for u pookie wookie, get well soon".

Gotcha Day is the day a dog was adopted from a shelter, humane society, or breeder and brought to their forever home.

A Simple Way to Make Cleanup Less GrossPicking up after your dog isn’t anyone’s favorite part of pet parenthood. Standard bags get the job done, but they don’t do much in the way of smell.
That’s where scented bags come in. By adding a strong, sweet scent like watermelon or blue raspberry, these bags help mask odors during walks. This is especially helpful if you’re carrying a used bag for a while before finding a trash can, or, worst case, have to bring it in the car.
A more pleasant scent can make the experience a bit more tolerable. Even better? Pair these poop bags with an adorable poop bag holder, and suddenly a not-so-fun task feels quite a bit less unpleasant.

Why Picking Up MattersWhile we’re on the topic, it’s worth a quick reminder: picking up after your dog isn’t just about avoiding an unpleasant surprise underfoot (though that’s reason enough). It’s also important for public health and the environment.
Dog waste can carry bacteria and parasites that may contaminate soil and waterways if left behind. It can also create unsanitary conditions in shared spaces like parks, sidewalks and trails.
Using poop bags helps keep your community clean and safe for everyone—humans and pets alike.
A Fun (and Practical) Twist on a Daily EssentialAt the end of the day, poop bags are one of those everyday essentials you’re always going to need, so why not make them a little more enjoyable?
With a playful nod to a childhood favorite candy and a practical benefit that actually makes a difference, these $5 bags are an easy, budget-friendly buy.

Silly Shih-Tzu Decides Upside Down Is the Only Acceptable Way To Be Carried
Some dogs like to be carried. Some tolerate it. And then there’s Harlie, who has very specific requirements and will absolutely enforce them.

It’s not subtle. It’s not occasional. It’s a full commitment to the bit.

Her mom even mentions that people ask if she’s real, which feels fair because Harlie genuinely looks like a tiny stuffed animal with those soft teddy bear ears and that completely relaxed, unbothered energy.
The comments fully embraced the chaos. “She’s just hanging around,” one person wrote, which is both accurate and a perfect use of language.
“She said I love the upside of the view,” feels like something Harlie would absolutely say if given the chance, while another added, “In my next life I wanna come back as her just to feel that unbothered,” which… same.
“Omg, I thought my dog was the only one,” suggests there may be more upside-down specialists out there than we realized, and “Adorable. Those teddy bear ears!” is just a fact.
And then there’s this: “She's a bat baby,” which, once you see it, you can't unsee. The pose, the dangling, the complete comfort with being upside down… it all tracks.

♬ Upside Down Jaden Bojsen Remix - Jaden BojsenDogs can have all kinds of weird preferences, and for some, being upside down is surprisingly comfortable.
Pups who feel safe and secure with their person are more likely to relax into unusual positions, including being held on their backs. It exposes their belly, which is a vulnerable area, so choosing that position can actually be a sign of trust.
For some dogs, it may also just feel physically good. Certain positions can relieve pressure on joints or simply be more comfortable depending on their body type.
And then there are pups like this Shih-Tzu, who seem to decide on a preference and stick with it no matter what anyone else thinks.
Fun fact: When dogs roll onto their backs during play or cuddling, it’s often a sign of relaxation and comfort rather than submission. It means they feel safe enough to fully let go.
So while it might look unusual, Harlie’s upside-down lifestyle is really just another example of a dog being completely comfortable, completely trusting, and completely committed to doing things her own way.

Golden Retriever Finally Gets a Yard of His Own, and We're Not Crying, You're Crying
"Never [been] happier for strangers in my life" is the very first comment that appears in response to this wholesome and uplifting TikTok video. It features an elated Golden Retriever named Beau, his toddler brother, and his parents enjoying their new yard for the very first time. The comment sets the tone for all the others that follow, and goes a long way toward showing us that the Internet can be a joyful space where we can root enthusiastically for each other, along with the furry friends that make our lives complete.
The mother sheds tears of happiness, the dad swings her in circles, and the little boy bounces around excitedly, but no one is more joyful than Beau. He runs and runs with his tail wagging continuously and a genuine smile on his face. It's a moving tribute to a milestone that this family is clearly grateful for.
@beaunosebonesSo thankful we were finally able to do this for them.🥹💛
♬ Little Sparrow - Paul Alan MorrisComment after comment reads like good friends sending well wishes, but these people are all just fans with no actual connection to the family other than what they see online.
"I can't stop watching the pure joy. This is so beautiful, and I am so happy for you all," says one viewer, summing it up for all the rest.
It's truly heartwarming and a testament to both the family and the community they have built through their content.

Helping Your Dog Adjust to a New HomeBeau seems to be in excellent spirits now that he's gotten a taste of his new digs, but a previous video shows him a little unnerved by the appearance of moving boxes. Moving is a lot for a dog—new smells, new layout, disrupted routine—so it’s completely normal if they feel a little off at first. The goal isn’t to rush the adjustment; it’s to make it feel as familiar and predictable as possible.
Start by giving them a gentle introduction. When you arrive, take them outside first so they can get their bearings (good job, Beau's family!), then walk them through the house on a leash. Keep things calm and supervised—this isn’t the moment to just let them roam and figure it out.
Routine is your best friend here. Stick to the same feeding times, walks, and bedtime schedule they’re used to. Even if everything else has changed, that consistency helps them feel secure and understand that life is still “normal,” just in a new place.
Bring their stuff—and keep it recognizable. Their bed, toys, bowls, and even that slightly questionable favorite blanket. You might be tempted to get them new things for a new home, but familiar scents go a long way in making a new space feel like home faster.
Give them time to adjust on their terms. Some dogs will explore right away, others might hide under furniture or seem unsure. That’s okay. Let them move at their own pace instead of forcing interaction or exploration. When I moved, my doodle cowered all low to the ground, combat crawling around the new, empty house.
It also helps to limit overwhelm. Hold off on visitors, loud gatherings, or extra stressors until your dog settles in. And if possible, avoid introducing other changes (like grooming or new routines) at the same time.
And keep an eye on behavior. Temporary changes—like reduced appetite, mild anxiety, or clinginess—are common. But if things seem extreme or don’t improve, it’s worth checking in with a vet.
