Lindsey Vonn Breaks Her Silence After Olympic Crash: 'Life Is Too Short'
Lindsey Vonn, 41, is breaking her silence following the horrific crash during the women’s downhill final Sunday at the 2026 Milan-Cortina Winter Olympics that ended her Olympic comeback. Just 13 seconds into her run down the Olympia delle Tofane course, Vonn clipped a gate and violently crashed after losing control and careening down the slope. She was airlifted by helicopter to a hospital in Treviso, Italy, bringing one of the most anticipated storylines of the Winter Games to a sudden close.
Lindsey Vonn Addresses the Crash and Injury View this post on InstagramOnline commenters, sports journalists, and even Vonn’s own father were quick to weigh in on her decision to compete after rupturing her ACL just one week earlier. In response, Vonn shared a statement Monday on social media, directly addressing criticism and clarifying what led to the crash.
“Yesterday my Olympic dream did not finish the way I dreamt it would. It wasn’t a storybook ending or a fairytale, it was just life. I dared to dream and worked so hard to achieve it. Because in downhill ski racing, the difference between a strategic line and a catastrophic injury can be as small as five inches.
I was simply five inches too tight on my line when my right arm hooked inside the gate, twisting me and resulting in my crash. My ACL and past injuries had nothing to do with my crash whatsoever.
Unfortunately, I sustained a complex tibia fracture that is currently stable but will require multiple surgeries to fix properly.”
Vonn continued, “I hope if you take away anything from my journey, it’s that you all have the courage to dare greatly. Life is too short not to take chances on yourself. Because the only failure in life is not trying.”
Support Pours In From the Skiing WorldSunday’s crash sparked an outpouring of support for the Olympic champion, with teammates and fellow athletes praising her courage and resilience. Many within the ski community defended her decision to compete, noting that alpine skiing carries inherent risks regardless of experience or preparation.
Mixed Reactions, Including From Her FatherNot everyone, however, supported Vonn’s determination. Speaking Monday, her father, Alan Kildow, expressed frustration with his daughter’s comeback, stating he hoped the crash would be “the end” of her professional skiing career.
Lindsey Vonn’s Legacy and What Comes Next @olympicsWe're all rooting for you, Lindsey 🤍 After Lindsey Vonn was injured crashing out of the alpine skiing downhill, fans at Milano Cortina 2026 send along their warmest wishes for the Olympic champion's recovery. #MilanoCortina2026 #WinterOlympics
♬ original sound - OlympicsWhile Lindsey Vonn has yet to reveal her future plans, at 41 she was among the oldest competitors in alpine skiing, pursuing her fourth Olympic appearance. Despite the outcome, she continues to inspire athletes and fans with her tenacity and passion for competition. Widely regarded as one of the greatest alpine skiers in history, Vonn’s return to Olympic skiing after retiring in 2019 is seen as nothing short of remarkable.
Olympic bronze medalist Ilona Maher echoed the sentiments of many, writing on Vonn’s post, “I’m proud of you for doing that. You are a lesson for all women that we are more than our age and people’s perceptions.”
Well said, and so true.

‘Big Brother’ Star Libra Thompson Reveals She Suffered a Stroke
Big Brother 10 alum Libra Thompson just revealed she recently suffered a stoke.
The former reality star, 49, shared the health update via Instagram on Monday, Feb. 9 and assured fans that her recovery is going well.
"Hi Friends! After being finally able to sort through it all…I would like to thank each and everyone for reaching out and sending me well wishes!" Thompson began her message. "I unfortunately experienced a stroke event on February 1st while I was in San Antonio attending a conference luckily my roommate, co-worker, and friend was there!!"
She then went on to thank her neurologist, Dr. Roach, and the hospital staff at Methodist Metropolitan Hospital in San Antonio, Texas.
"I am most grateful that they were able to pinpoint a cause fo my stroke, although it’s considered a cryptogenic stroke it was found to be due to me having a PFO—patent foramen ovale, which is a small hole in my heart," she continued. "I will be meeting with both a neurologist and cardiologist this week with UT physicians that specialize in PFO events for my plan [of] care."
According to the Mayo Clinic, a patent foramen ovale (PFO) is a hole in the heart that didn't close the way it should after birth. Most people never need treatment for a PFO, however, blood clots can travel through them and into the brain, therefore leading to a stroke.
Thompsonthen asked her followers for donations to help pay her medical bills, as she is currently on unpaid Family and Medical Leave (FMLA) while she awaits surgery.
"All that being said I am so blessed that I am on the other side of this and I am on the mend!❤️🩹❤️🩹❤️🩹," she concluded.

‘Dirty Dancing’ Star Jennifer Grey Loved Bad Bunny’s Halftime Show So Much She Named Her Dog After Him
Dirty Dancing star Jennifer Grey and Bad Bunny both know a thing or two about dancing, but the beloved actress is taking her devotion to a whole new level.
Grey, 65, who rose to fame in the role of Frances “Baby” Houseman in 1987’s Dirty Dancing, got her first big role in 1986’s Ferris Bueller’s Day Off, where she played the whiny little sister of Matthew Broderick‘s cool older bro, Ferris Bueller. But it was her role as Baby, who heads on vacation in 1963 at a Catskills resort with her Jewish family, only to fall in love with the resort’s dance instructor, Johnny Castle (played by the mesmerizing Patrick Swayze), that solidified her role as a superstar. Now, she's taking her inspiration from Bad Bunny, who danced his way into the hearts of viewers on Sunday evening as the Seattle Seahawks beat the New England Patriots in the Super Bowl.
In an Instagram post, Grey revealed that she recently got a new dog and was inspired to name the pup Benito after watching Bad Bunny, whose real name is Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio, perform at the Super Bowl Halftime Show.
"I first laid 👀on @badbunnypr in 2022. Suffice it to say…I was shooketh. Then 10 days ago, this little guy showed up and has stolen my heart. Please meet Benito, a name inspired by the miraculous and soulful #BenitoBowl, a powerful exaltation of love unity and joy #BenitoBowl#loveismorepowerfulthanhate," Grey captioned her photo, which showed a picture of herself and Bad Bunny. In the second slide, she shares a photo of her new puppy.
View this post on Instagram Rumors of a Dirty Dancing SequelWhile a sequel to Dirty Dancing was announced a handful of years ago, Lionsgate pushed back its theatrical release due to 2023’s Hollywood strikes, Variety reported last year.
When asked, Grey said she didn’t have that much information.
“I can’t tell you much about Dirty Dancing as I’m not going to make promises,” Grey told GamesRadar+ and other reporters at the A Real Pain premiere. “I’m just waiting for them to really nail it down as it has to be right.”
She went on to say that they can “push that aside” until the next time they speak, “when it hopefully it will all be ironed out.”
Fans Will Just Have to WaitWhile Dirty Dancing became a staple for movie fans, it even scored an Academy Award for Best Original Song for its legendary love theme “(I’ve Had) The Time of My Life” by Bill Medley and Jennifer Warnes. The song plays an important role for Baby and Johnny Castle at the end of the film. If you need a bit of a refresher on the memorable ending of Dirty Dancing, here's a look below:
Bravo Universe Reacts to Jill Zarin's Controversial Take on Bad Bunny's Halftime Performance
Bravo stars are calling out former The Real Housewives of New York City star Jill Zarin after her rant about the 2026 Super Bowl halftime show. In a now-deleted video on Instagram, Zarin labeled Bad Bunny's performance "the worst halftime show ever," claiming there were "literally no white people in the entire thing," and calling it "a political statement."
Zarin's video was shared by the Instagram account @cici.loves.you, which saw a handful of Bravo stars weighing in, including The Valley star Janet Caperna, who wrote, "Tell me you’re racist without telling me you’re racist…YIKES!!!"
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Bozoma Saint John was also taken aback by Zarin's comments, adding to the wave of backlash from fellow Bravo personalities.
View this post on Instagram“I’m not taking a side”. Yet very clearly taking a side. Please 🙄 I, on the other hand, LOVED Benito Bowl… for its beauty, culture, history and message!" Saint John wrote.
Chanel Ayan, who appeared on The Real Housewives of Dubai, shared a brief but strong reaction: "Seriously disgusted 🤮."
Andy Cohen Comments on Jill Zarin's Super Bowl Halftime Show RantAppearing on his SiriusXM radio show on Feb. 9, Andy Cohen was also asked about Zarin's comments. Zarin was also not the only Real Housewife disapproving of Bad Bunny's performance—former RHOBH star Taylor Armstrong shared a photo on Instagram of her head superimposed on a gladiator and wrote that she was "embarrassed for the NFL and Apple" for featuring a halftime show "totally in Spanish."
Cohen sounded like he wanted nothing to do with the two women's comments, sharing, "And in terms of Jill, just... I don't know. You know, call E!," he said, adding, "Two people who are not employed by Bravo anymore, so just...Call E!"
Cohen was referring to the fact that Zarin is set to join several other former RHONY stars, including Luann de Lesseps, Sonja Morgan, and Ramona Singer, in a new reality show for Bravo's competitor network E!, currently under the title The Golden Life.

Taylor Frankie Paul’s Bachelorette Promo Has Dropped—and Fans Are Already Losing It
Taylor Frankie Paul is ABC’s next Bachelorette, and fans are counting down to the March 22nd premiere. The social media influencer-turned-reality-TV star has made a name for herself as the self-proclaimed leader on Hulu’s hit show The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives. The Utah-based show, entering its 4th season, follows Paul and a group of modern women of the Church of Latter-day Saints. It's had its own share of scandals and drama, with everything from cheating to swingers. Last October, it was announced that Taylor Frankie Paul is embracing a new chapter as the Bachelorette.
Today, both Bachelor Nation and fans of the star were treated to the first official promo of the show in its 22nd season. The internet is ablaze with reactions to it, and it’s clear that Taylor’s season may be the “most dramatic one yet.”
View this post on InstagramThe promo video features several moments from the past 3 seasons of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, including emotional breakdowns, navigating single motherhood, and the infamous swinging scandal that carried the show through its first season. Set to Taylor Swift's hit song, "Look What You Made Me Do," Paul is an absolute vision, walking through a hall of cell phone screens as she narrates some of the difficult moments of her past that have led her to this point.
"Am I worthy of love?" she says, continuing with "Is it even possible?" The 31-year-old mom of three is dressed in a strapless red gown as she saunters towards the camera. Paul concludes with, "Maybe all I need to do is be my own true self," as she kicks a stiletto heel at the screen, shattering it as she steps out in more casual look of low-rise sweats and a fitted t-shirt.
The caption, "Breaking the mold never looked so good," has fans excited to see the latest Bachelorette be her authentic self as she looks for love.
Her Mormon Wives co-stars are ready to watch. Mayci Neeley wrote, "Can’t wait!!!" Mikayla Matthews and Jessie Draper both left Taylor some love with fire and heart emojis. Previous Bachelorette Hannah Brown said, "I am SO PUMPED! Love you sis!"
In addition to the video promo, ABC released the official promo poster for Season 22 of The Bachelorette, as seen below.
This visual makes it clear this season isn’t interested in playing it safe. Taylor Frankie Paul stands front and center in a bold red gown, framed inside packaging that looks more like a boxed doll than a traditional television series promo. Everything—from the monochromatic red palette to the carefully placed accessories around her—feels intentional, with small details fans are reacting to. One item in particular, “The Book of More Men,” is hard to miss and has quickly become a talking point online. "The book of more men 😂❤️ love it," one fan said. "Book of more men is crazy work 😂," penned another. "The book of more men is hilarious 😂☠️," echoed yet another.

'90s Country Music Star Announces More Dates for 30th Anniversary Due to 'Popular Demand'
Trace Adkins isn't hanging up his cowboy hat just yet.
Following the successful kickoff of his 30th Anniversary Tour earlier this year, the country veteran has announced he is adding more dates to the trek, citing "popular demand" as the driving force behind the extension.
The tour, which celebrates three decades since Adkins’ platinum-selling debut Dreamin' Out Loud (1996), launched on Jan. 16 in Oxford, Ala. While the run is still scheduled to wrap in September, the "Honky Tonk Badonkadonk" singer is packing his summer calendar with new fair and festival stops to ensure he brings his signature baritone to as many fans as possible.
"I recently read that if you lined up all the country music artists who 'break through at all,' the majority cluster tightly around 5-7 years of an active career," Adkins shared in a statement regarding the milestone. "Only about 10% have a career spanning 20 years. As I embark on my 30th year of touring, I find myself in the single-digit percentile of artists."

Cardi B and Stefon Diggs Seemingly Unfollow Each Other One Day After Super Bowl
Fans are reading between the lines after Cardi B and Stefon Diggs quietly unfollowed each other on Instagram just one day after Super Bowl LX.
Followers were quick to spot that the rapper and the New England Patriots wide receiver were no longer connected online following the team’s loss to the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday, February 8. The timing raised eyebrows, though it remains unclear whether the unfollowing happened before or after the final whistle.
Speculation ramped up quickly, especially given how recently the pair appeared solid. Diggs and Cardi, 33, welcomed a baby boy in November 2025, and throughout the Patriots’ playoff run, Cardi was frequently seen at games and publicly supporting him.
Screenshots of Diggs and Cardi B's followers on Instagram from February 9.Fueling the curiosity even more was Cardi’s brief interaction with ESPN ahead of the Super Bowl—where she made a low-key appearance during Bad Bunny’s halftime performance. When asked if she had a message for Diggs, 32, before the game, she simply replied, “Good luck.” The moment stood out to fans who were used to seeing her be far more vocal and enthusiastic, especially about someone she’s romantically involved with.

The timing is notable for Diggs, who has been navigating legal issues off the field in recent months. Just days before the Super Bowl, he was named in a lawsuit filed by a former associate who alleges defamation and claims the athlete falsely accused him of stealing a Ferrari. The plaintiff also alleges he was later assaulted by individuals connected to Diggs, resulting in injuries. Diggs has not publicly responded to the lawsuit.
Separately, Diggs is also facing a felony strangulation charge and a misdemeanor assault charge stemming from an alleged December incident. His attorney has denied the accusations, calling them “unsubstantiated,” and has said Diggs plans to address the matter in court.
’90s Metal Band Announces 2026 North America Tour With Rising Stars
The Finnish metal cellist trio Apocalyptica has just announced that they will be embarking on a tour across North America alongside Mongolian folk metal band The Hu this summer.
The tour announcement came this morning along with the news that the Finnish rock band The Rasmus will be supporting the two bands on their tour, which kicks off on May 12 in Silver Spring, Maryland.
Both Apocalyptica and The Hu are known for incorporating the use of traditional and symphonic instruments into heavy metal music, making them the perfect duo to combine forces and perform live on tour together.

— revolvermag (@Revolvermag) February 9, 2026Ticket pre-sale for the tour begins on Wednesday while general sale starts this Friday at 10 a.m., according to Revolver. VIP packages that include special additions such as a meet-and-greet opportunity will also be available.
Apocalyptica began in 1993 as a Metallica tribute band by four classically trained cellists. Over time, the band shifted from covers to original compositions, blending classical technique with heavy metal aggression on albums like Cult (2000) and Reflections (2003). Apocalyptica later incorporated drums and guest vocalists, collaborating with artists such as Corey Taylor and Ville Valo, and solidified their global reputation as pioneers who bridged classical music and metal in a genuinely new way.
The band currently has 10 studio albums and is made up of Eicca Toppinen, Paavo Lötjönen and Perttu Kivilaakso.
The Hu formed in 2016 as a Mongolian metal folk band that combines Mongolian practices such as throat singing and traditional instrumentation with heavy metal music, which was banned in Mongolia up until the 1990s. Their 2018 song "Wolf Totem" topped Billboard's Hard Rock Digital Song Sales in 2019, making them the first Mongolian musicians to do so.

Their first studio album The Gereg was released in late 2019 and heavily incorporated Mongolian culture into hard-hitting rock music. Later that year The Hu was awarded with the Order of Chinggis Khaan — the highest state award in Mongolia — for all the work they had done to promote Mongolian culture globally.
The Hu has also participated in multiple major collaborations with other well-known metal and rock bands, such as when they were featured on the Metallica tribute album in The Metallica Blacklist in 2020 and when they supported Iron Maiden on their North America tour in 2024.

'Virgin River' Season 7 Finally Everything to Know - Official Trailer and New Images Released! (Updated)
The new season of Virgin River is fast approaching. Fans have now have an official trailer to dissect as well as new images to pour over. The hit Netflix drama has also been renewed for Season 8 and is set to begin production in Spring 2026!
Looking back, Virgin River's sixth season was one of the happiest thus far. While there was—of course—some drama and scandal, the main focus was on the upcoming wedding of Jack (Martin Henderson) and Mel (Alexandra Breckenridge). And yes—it finally happened!
But Virgin River saved the drama for the big finale. After Calvin (David Cubitt) threatened Charmaine (Lauren Hammersley) all season about getting more time with the twins, she enlisted Brie (Zibby Allen) to help her draw up a restraining order. At first, Jack and Mel thought that resolved the issue, but after Charmaine was a no-show at the wedding, Jack went to check on her and found the house destroyed and discovered something in the nursery that was truly shocking, ending the season on a cliffhanger that we've been waiting over a year to understand.
The good news? We're less than a month away from the Season 7 premiere. Here's what we know about the new season of Virgin River on Netflix.
What is the Virgin River Season 7 release date?Season 7 of Virgin River premieres on Netflix on Thursday, March 12, 2026.
How many episodes will Virgin River Season 7 have? There will be 10 one-hour episodes in Season 7. The new season will pick up immediately following the Season 6 cliffhanger (no time jump).
What happened in Virgin River Season 6?- Jack and Mel Got Married: After five seasons of "will-they-won’t-they," the couple finally tied the knot. They are also the first choice to adopt the baby of one of Mel's yoga students.
- Where is Charmaine? The sixth season ended on a massive cliffhanger after Charmaine went missing before the wedding. Jack attempted to check on her, only to discover that her door was broken. He looked into the nursery with a shocked expression—but we have no idea what he saw.
- Doc’s Career Crisis: Clearwater Hospital still wants to take over the clinic, putting Doc’s (Tim Matheson) future at risk.
- Brady Gets Scammed: Lark (Elise Gatien) revealed her true colors, stealing all of Brady's (Ben Hollingsworth) settlement money after overhearing him tell Brie that Brie would always be the one for him.
- Mike and Brie: Mike (Marco Grazzini) proposed to Brie, despite knowing she still has complicated feelings for Brady.
- Lizzie and Denny: With Denny's Huntington's disease having a 50% chance of being passed to their baby, the couple must make difficult decisions about their future together.

Country Music Star Issues Bold Political Message After Bad Bunny Super Bowl Performance: ‘Take Notes’
Charley Crockett has sent a bold political message to his fellow country music stars, praising Bad Bunny and slamming President Donald Trump's administration.
Bad Bunny, real name Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio, gave a Super Bowl halftime performance that fans can’t stop talking about. It featured guest appearances and several positive messages amid the current political climate in the United States.
Following Bad Bunny’s performance, Crockett took to Instagram, where he shared a very lengthy and blunt message.
“They keep saying I’m a cosplay cowboy but they love a cosplay president. Some folks have been on here calling Muhammad Ali a draft dodger when yall got one in the White House. When I was at the Grammys the other night I saw a guy get up and talk about Jesus, and then I saw Bad Bunny get up there and talk like Jesus,” he wrote.
Crockett then warned that the country music world could learn a thing or two from Bad Bunny, saying, “The country music establishment should be taking notes on a Puerto Rican American who hasn’t forgotten his heritage and brought his culture’s traditional music back to the front, showing the world something new with it.”
The "Welcome to Hard Times” hitmaker then bashed Trump for bankrupting his business and declaring that the only thing Trump is good at is suing people. Crockett called out “immigrant” Elon Musk for “buying elections. Crockett then insisted that Musk be deported along with Peter Thiel because they think men of their wealth are “above the law” and they don’t believe in real democracy.
“Forgive me if I have a problem with a 34 time convicted felon running this country when I lost the right to vote or own a weapon for years over marijuana. As long as you’re hating the oppressed and loving your oppressor you’ll never know why our generation is poorer than our parents and grandparents. As a great man once said it’s welfare for the rich and rugged individualism for the poor,” Crockett stated.

The singer explained that those who are "licking their boots" and can sleep at night aren’t really free. In fact, they are part of “mental slavery,” but that’s the path they have chosen. Crocket also reminded his followers that every right in America was fought for and earned, not handed to us.
“Judge a man by how he treats the poor and those who he views as being able to do nothing for him. Don’t forget why Muhammad Ali said 'I am America.' Remember the coal miners of Harlan County, Kentucky. I believe in what we can be. Ride on. 🐎” the country singer expressed.

Meet the Realtor and Lab Tech Playing for Olympic Gold Tomorrow: Team USA’s History-Making Curlers
On Monday, Feb. 9, Cory Thiesse and Korey Dropkin didn't just win an Olympic curling match—they pulled off a stunning 9-8 upset over Italy's defending gold medalists!
Deafening chants and cheers erupted as Thiesse delivered a final shot—the "hammer"—to score two points in the last frame and secure the victory, guaranteeing Team USA’s first-ever Olympic medal in Mixed Doubles curling.
But what’s even more shocking than their win is the fact that when the pair isn't competing for Olympic Gold, they have regular 9-5 jobs in Minnesota: Thiesse processes samples as a lab technician, while Dropkin closes deals as a real estate agent. As the dynamic duo prepares for tomorrow’s Gold Medal match against Sweden, let’s get to know these Team USA heroes who prove that you don't need a multi-million dollar contract to make your Olympic dreams come true.

Who Are Cory Thiesse and Korey Dropkin? From 9-to-5s in Minnesota to Olympic History MakersCory Thiesse (31) and Korey Dropkin (30) first crossed paths as teens in Minnesota's junior curling circuit. While they both attended the University of Minnesota Duluth and continued competing in the sport, they did not become curling partners until April 2022.
When their respective teams did not make it to the Beijing Olympics, Dropkin invited Thiesse out for a drink. But the topic was not dating; it was curling! He asked if she'd curl mixed doubles with him, and she immediately said yes. One year later, they were World Champions—and today, they became Olympic medalists!
"Korey and I have been really good friends for a long time," Thiesse told the Duluth News Tribune in 2023. "Both of us living in Duluth, it works out well that we're able to practice together. It seemed like a good fit and I was ready to try something new, and it worked out."
Dropkin joked, "Truly, I was just looking for someone that had the same name as me. It worked pretty well."

Are Cory Thiesse and Korey Dropkin Dating? The Truth About Their RelationshipWhether it's figure skating or curling, the number one question fans ask during every mixed doubles event is: “Are they a couple in real life?” It's always a fair question, but in this pair's case, the answer is a definitive no. Cory is married to Sam Thiesse, a financial advisor at Morgan Stanley in Duluth, while Dropkin is engaged to Gabby Tachis.

Kaley Cuoco Confesses to 'Lowest Point of Her Life' Just Before Meeting Her Fiancé
By Kaley Cuoco's own admission, things are going pretty great in her life right now. She's happily engaged to actor Tom Pelphrey, a mother to her almost three-year-old Matilda, and starring in a new series, Vanished, which she also executive-produces. But it's not something she's taking for granted, as she knows how quickly things can change in life. During a recent appearance on the podcast Armchair Expert with Dax Shepard, she revealed that the "lowest point" of her life came just four years ago, when she was doing press for The Flight Attendant's second season.
"I'll never forget, I was laying on the floor of this house that I shared with Karl [Cook]," Cuoco explained. "We were obviously divorcing, and it was the day of the premiere, and I was on the floor sobbing, thinking I ruined my whole life. That is the lowest point of my life I ever had. I couldn't get up. I was so depressed. I thought I blew up my life. Like, what am I going to f*****g do now?"
"My hair and makeup girls came over," she continued. "They were literally doing my hair and makeup on the floor. I said, 'I can't go, I can't, I can't.' I was so sad."
The Big Bang Theory star was 36 at the time. Cook was her second marriage; she had previously been married to Ryan Sweeting from 2013 to 2016. "I just thought, 'Oh man, this might have been it for me," she added.
But it wasn't, which Cuoco soon discovered. While that evening was the lowest point of her life, it was also, unbeknownst to her, the beginning of something new. Her manager had been hoping to introduce her to her new client, Pelphrey. Cuoco agreed to go with her manager to the Ozark premiere, who again casually mentioned that she'd finally get to meet Pelphrey.
Despite her initial misgivings, she decided to look him up on social media. As she scanned his Instagram, she had a premonition.
"I get this feeling that I'm going to spend my life with him," the Based on a True Story actress revealed.
The rest is, well, history.
Savannah Guthrie's Mom Nancy Guthrie's Ransom Deadline Passes: What Happens Now?
The second ransom deadline for Today co-anchor Savannah Guthrie‘s mom, Nancy Guthrie, officially passed on Feb. 9 at 5 p.m. Arizona time (7 p.m. ET). As the search for the missing 84-year-old abducted from her Tucson home continues, the question on the minds of many is: What happens now?
Wally Ziens, a former NYPD detective and hostage negotiator, recently sat down with Criminally Obsessed host Anne Emerson to weigh in on Nancy's case.
"Proof of life, that's very important," Ziens said of an important next step. "You know, people are greedy. Remember one thing: Pigs get fat, and hogs get eaten. So, you know, if they're going to keep wanting money, money, money, they have to bend a little bit."
He added, "I think they're going to, somewhere along the line, say, 'OK, here's proof.' Hopefully, she's still alive... Keep in mind, if Nancy passes on from some medical condition, they're still going to be charged with murder, homicide."
Meanwhile, former FBI agent Steve Lazarus also weighed in, saying, "I would insist on something beyond just a picture with today's paper, a video. I would want a video of her discussing something that only she would know... Tell me something like that. Otherwise, AI is just too strong these days."
On Feb. 1, the Pima County Sheriff’s Department (PCSD) launched a search for Nancy, who was last seen on Jan. 31, at her Tucson home. The PCSD declared her residence a crime scene, determining that Nancy was “taken” from her residence “against her will.” Additionally, law enforcement confirmed that the blood discovered at the home belonged to the 84-year-old.
Investigators have returned to Savannah’s mom’s home several times since the search began. On Feb. 7, an agent was spotted carrying a “silver briefcase” inside Nancy’s home. A video of a vehicle of interest was also submitted to law enforcement, in addition to agents finding a camera on the roof of Nancy’s home. The FBI also made a strategic move across several states as the search continues.
In the meantime, multiple alleged ransom notes surfaced, and Nancy's family sent several public video messages to the captors. The Feb. 7 video featured Savannah saying, "We received your message, and we understand. We beg you now to return our mother to us so that we can celebrate with her. This is the only way we will have peace.”
The Today co-anchor concluded, “This is very valuable to us, and we will pay,” adding in the caption, “Bring her home.”
View this post on InstagramThen, just hours before the ransom deadline, Savannah posted a video via Instagram to fans, thanking them for their prayers as she and her siblings, Annie Guthrie and Camron Guthrie.
"We believe our mom is still out there," she said. "We need your help. Law enforcement is working tirelessly around the clock, trying to bring her home, trying to find her. She was taken, and we don't know where."
Savannah added, "We are at an hour of desperation, and we need your help."

This Bad Bunny Super Bowl Halftime Show Detail Is One of the Most-Talked-About Moments From His Performance
Bad Bunny delivered a Super Bowl halftime performance for the books, putting his culture at the forefront of the conversation.
The singer, whose real name is Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio, packed his 13-minute set with surprises and buzz-worthy moments, including appearances from stars like Jessica Alba, CardiB and Pedro Pascal in the "casita."
Lady Gagaand Ricky Martin as guest performers only fueled the conversation, but even with so many headline-making cameos, there’s one unexpected detail that viewers can't stop discussing after the Super Bowl Halftime Show performance.
Some of the bushes that made up Bad Bunny’s stage and set were real people, and fans are losing their minds about it on social media.
“the bushes were people ????” questioned one fan on X, pointing to a video taken by someone in attendance at Levi's Stadium, which revealed the bushes walking out onto the football field. Another fan reshared the video, adding, “Shoutout to every theater kid who played a tree in their school play. This one’s for you 🌳🌳.”

— Cassandra Lee Morris (@SoCassandra) February 9, 2026One fan chimed in to say, “i would dress like a bush to be this close to bad bunny too.” “And the set was powered by feet 🤯,” stated another fan.
“So the bushes in Bad Bunny's super bowl performance were real people. Let me tell you.. I would have been fired as a bushes because I would have been under that costume shaking my twigs to the beat😭,” another fan expressed.
A different fan added, “The bushes for Bad Bunny’s #SuperBowl halftime show were actual humans. Wow!! #SuperBowlLX #SuperBowl2026.”
One fan recalled their conversation with some of the "bush people" after the performance, writing, “Chatted with some of the dancers of Bad Bunny’s half time performance after they were done. 10/10 rating from them!! They get to take home the outfits as a keepsake! @wpri12.”

Over on Instagram, fans were equally in shock about the bush detail. “Currently wishing I was Bad Bunny’s grass,” expressed one fan, as another fan called it the “new dream job unlocked."
According to a video from Wired, the NFL wouldn't allow more than 25 carts onto the field as they'd "tear up the grass," presenting quite a hurdle for the stage setup, so Bruce and Shelley Rodgers, who have produced many iconic halftime shows over the span of two decades, came up with a solution that included nearly 380 people dressed as sugar cane and other plants.
"It was very dramatic and intense," Bruce told the outlet, but in the end, Bad Bunny got the stage he envisioned, even if the "plants were alive in a way he may not have imagined."

Lindsey Vonn’s Father Says He Hopes Olympic Crash Marks ‘The End of Her Career’
Lindsey Vonn's father Alan Kildow is speaking out after her crash at the Milan-Cortina Olympics.
On Sunday, Feb. 8, the American alpine ski racer crashed just 13 seconds into her run during the women’s downhill event. Vonn was evacuated from the mountain via helicopter and later underwent surgery to stabilize a fracture she sustained in her left leg during the crash.
Vonn tore her ACL in the same leg in a separate crash just a week before competing in the Olympics, worrying fans about her health and her future in the sport.
In an interview with the Associated Press published on Monday, Feb. 9, Vonn's father shared that he hoped his daughter's recent accidents caused her to reevaluate her future as a competitive ski racer.
“She’s 41 years old and this is the end of her career,” Kildow, who is a former ski racer himself, said. “There will be no more ski races for Lindsey Vonn, as long as I have anything to say about it.”
RELATED: Lindsey Vonn Addresses Olympic Future After Hospitalization
Kildow and the rest of Vonn's family are currently with her while she is being treated at a hospital in Treviso, Italy. The U.S. Ski Team also said Vonn was “in stable condition and in good hands with a team of American and Italian physicians.”
Kildow declined to provide details of Vonn’s injuries, but did share how his daughter was doing emotionally after the devastating accident.
“She’s a very strong individual,” Kildow said. “She knows physical pain and she understands the circumstances that she finds herself in. And she’s able to handle it. Better than I expected. She’s a very, very strong person. And so I think she’s handling it real well.”
Kildow noted that he slept in his daughter’s hospital room overnight and that the family has been keeping her company while she recovers.
“She has somebody with her — or multiple people with her — at all times,” he added. “We’ll have people here as long as she’s here.”
The Olympian's father also shared that his daughter will not return to the Olympics to cheer on her teammates or for any other purpose.
“No, she’s not that in kind of situation,” Kildow said. “She will be going home at an appropriate point in time.”
Hall of Fame Rockers Announce Rare Vegas Run as Only 2026 Tour Dates
Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees Duran Duran are heading back to Las Vegas for a short, highly limited run that currently stands as their only major U.S. tour dates of 2026.
The legendary ’80s hitmakers have announced four shows at BleauLive Theater inside Fontainebleau Las Vegas, scheduled for May 2, 6, 8 and 9, following a New Year’s Eve appearance at the venue earlier this year. Tickets going on sale Friday at 10 a.m. local time via Ticketmaster.

The band’s current lineup includes lead singer Simon Le Bon, bassist John Taylor, keyboard player Nick Rhodes and drummer Roger Taylor.
What makes the announcement especially notable is the scarcity of dates. Outside of a May 1 appearance at California’s BeachLife Festival, the Las Vegas shows currently represent the band’s only confirmed standalone concerts for 2026, positioning the residency as a must-see opportunity for fans.

Duran Duran was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2022 and remains one of the most enduring acts of the MTV era, with a catalog that includes “Hungry Like the Wolf,” “Rio,” “Ordinary World,” and “The Reflex.” In recent years, the band has continued to draw strong crowds at high-profile events, arena tours, and destination shows.
For longtime fans, the Fontainebleau dates mark a rare chance to see the group in an intimate, theater-style setting, and for now, Las Vegas is the only place to do it.
